Admissions

Admission to the program is competitive and contingent upon admission to the Graduate School.

Students pursuing graduate certificates are admitted in fall, winter and spring terms.

Deadline for applications: Fall semester is August 1, Winter semester is November 1 and Spring semester is April 1.

Admission requirements

At a minimum, applicants are required to have:

1. An undergraduate degree; and
2. A 3.0 GPA in upper-division coursework (typically the last 60 semester hours).

Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 for upper-division coursework may submit GRE scores as additional evidence of academic ability or apply for post-bachelor status to raise their undergraduate GPA.

Application requirements

1. Completed Application (a $50 application fee for graduate application was suspended);
2. All transcripts submitted to Graduate Admissions;
3. Academic/professional statement of purpose (500 words);
4. Dispute Resolution Certificate applicants only also require three letters of reference.

International students

International students whose native language is not English are required to submit official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores to Graduate Admissions. Minimum acceptable score is 100 on the iBT (Internet based test).
