"I am honored to accept the Eunice and Ed J. Pappas Endowed Scholarship for Excellence in Communication. Each year, by recognizing the hard work of Wayne State students seeking majors in Communication, the foundation helps to motivate and inspire us to work hard and think creatively in our pursuits in this exciting field of academia. As this year's recipient of this award, I am grateful to the educators to whom it is dedicated, who helped guide the way communication is thought of and discussed as a principal role in life. I am planning to continue to work on my degree in Communication Studies in 2021 and 2022, and I am very much looking forward to the experiences I will be sharing with my fellow Warriors, the wonderful staff, and students here, along the way."

"The 2021 Eunice and Ed J. Pappas Endowed Scholarship for Excellence in Communication means a lot to me because my hard work has paid off thus far. This year, I plan to graduate with my bachelor's degree in Communication with double minor in Public Relations and Business Administration. I am the incoming president for WSU's Public Relations Student Society of America chapter. I am also going to be an intern at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan this summer. I look forward to seeing what this year brings and working with new people to improve my communication and leadership skills."
