Marni Lorenz
Biography
Marni Lorenz (she/her) is a third year PhD student and currently serves as a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Communication at Wayne State University. Before coming to WSU, Marni obtained her MA in Communication while working as a graduate assistant (teaching, research, marketing) in the Department of Communication at Central Michigan University. As a scholar, she is interested in understanding the ways American presidents rhetorize national values to justify administrative objectives and shape national identity. Marni investigates her research inquires using epideictic theory, narrative theory, ideological criticism, and/or genre criticism.
