Ryan Corso-Gonzales

Biography

Ryan is a communication professional currently attending a doctoral program at Wayne State University as well as working for the graduate student union, GEOC. Ryan began his academic career at Moorpark Community College in California. He was a two-time state champion and one-time national champion in parliamentary debate.

He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in 2018 by Concordia University, where he was a member and captain of its varsity debate team. He placed 4th at the 2019 National Parliamentary Tournament of Excellence and 6th at the 2019 National Parliamentary Debate Association, which were the highest rankings ever achieved by Concordia in those tournaments.

He received my master’s degree in communication at the University of Louisville while working as a graduate teaching assistant and promoting athletics as a social media intern
for the athletics department, and a colligate athlete for the cheer team.


Previously, Ryan worked at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas where he founded the school's competitive speech and debate team. As the inaugural Director of Forensics, He recruited over 40 students to the program in just over a year and had notable national success in both speech and debate.
