Hannah Kaplan

Biography

 Hannah Kaplan (she/her/hers) is a first year PhD student and currently serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant on the Department of Communication at Wayne State University. Prior to teaching at Wayne State, Hannah has a TA at Western Michigan University and taught the COM 1000 Com and Community Engagement Course. 

Hannah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan Unviersity in 2023 with a focus in communications and a minor in gender women studies. She recently graduated with her Masters in communication in 2024 after completing the Acclerated (4+1) program at Western Michigan Unviersity. 

Hannah's research interests are in feminist communication, organizational communication, mass media communication, and interpersonal communication. She situates much of her work in qualitative research.
