Biography
Jessica came to Wayne State University in 2013 where she is currently an Academic Services Officer in the Department of Communication. In that time she has also presented at the annual MIACADA conference, co-authored a book chapter on student coping in the transition to college, and serves on several committees at the department, college, and university levels. Having held positions as a graduation and scheduling coordinator at Lawrence Technological University, the graduate admissions coordinator for the Department of Anthropology at the University of Michigan, and the undergraduate transfer admissions counselor for Concordia University, Jessica has over two decades of experience working in higher education student services. Jessica earned her Master of Arts from Ohio University in Athens, OH and her Bachelor of Science from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. When Jessica is not in the office she can be found at home creating culinary masterpieces for her family (some of which are actually edible!) or doing her best “Al Kaline” on her city league softball team.
