Jennifer Evans

Biography

Jennifer Evans is a PhD student in the department of communications at Wayne State University. She works full-time, serving as Senior Director of Exhibitions and Collections at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. She received her BA from the University of Michigan in Film and Video studies and her MA in Media Studies from Wayne State University. She continues to work in the museum industry focusing on teaching history through visual art.

Her research areas include film history, African American history, and gender studies specific to science fiction and fantasy films.
