Biography

Kevin Hardges is a 4th year PhD student in the Department of Communication. Kevin received both is Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Wayne State University. Kevin has worked in the fields of banking, nonprofits, political communication/advocacy, and public relations. Kevin is focusing his disseration research on corporate responsibility to race and the ways in which public relations/communication professionals assisted their organizations in responding after the murder of George Floyd. Kevin has an interest in how communication is used for social justice and public interest communication. Most recently, he was a Manager for a Detroit-based, Black Owned, Women led public relations agency. Kevin enjoys going to the movies, listening to music, kareoke, and having fun with friends and family.
