High school students eligible for Detroit Free Press - WSU journalism workshop
The Detroit Free Press and Wayne State University partnered for the third consecutive summer to host a free journalism workshop for high school students in metro Detroit. The Dow Jones High School Journalism Workshop is open to students in 9th through 12th grades. The workshop runs 9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 18-22 on Wayne State's campus. "Students are exposed to the rigors of journalistic thinking and it's a great introduction to careers in journalism and strengthening their academic skills," said Alicia Nails, director of WSU's Journalism Institute for Media Diversity.
