WSU filmmakers may contribute to 'One Day in Detroit' through 4/26...

Via the video project One Day in Detroit, documentary filmmaker Stephen McGee is having ambassadors go out on April 26th and film stories of people and things within the city of Detroit. Even camera phone footage is fair game. Then ambassadors have 30 days to turn around their edit and upload it to the One Day in Detroit site. In August there will be a festival during which top productions will be chosen to become part of a national television series.

The city landscape of Detroit is changing. One Day in Detroit is a filmmaking event to investigate the future of our city with whatever camera you have. This is a future Wayne State students will help define. One Day in Detroit is part of an eleven city participatory filming event, open to everyone, to document metropolitan opportunity in America. All content creators own their footage but also share the content for noncommercial use, with credit, to the entire participating community. There will be a geotagged map as well as a three part series for public broadcast.

To register as an ambassador, go to http://OneDayInDetroit.org and fill out the "Participate" section then you will be contacted with more details. With questions, contact Megg Jacobs of the WSU Film and Media Group, WSUFilmAndMediaGroup@gmail.com.
