A live chat with three food safety experts will be held at 11 a.m. today on the Detroit Free Press Web edition. Panelists will include Matt Seeger, chair of the Department of Communication at WSU; Matt Jackson, associate professor of Immunology and Microbiology at WSU; and Katherine Fedder, director of Michigan Department of Agriculture Food and Dairy Division. Topics will range from inspections and recalls, how outbreaks are communicated to the public and how bacteria like salmonella cause food-borne illness.
