Michigan Heart Gallery features 131 in foster care

The Michigan Heart Gallery opened last weekend, which is a photographic exhibit featuring 131 children in the foster care system hoping to be adopted. The gallery opens Saturday, April 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Emagine Theaters in Royal Oak. Most of the children are older than 9 years old, and some sibling groups are also in the system. Eighty-one volunteer photographers from around the state took the photographs. The event will also premiere a video highlighting seven teenagers waiting to be adopted. The video was created by Professor Kelly Donnellan of Wayne State's Department of Communication.
