Kimberly Rice, a producer with the Michigan Creative Film Alliance who is studying for a master's in media arts at Wayne State University, wrote an opinion piece supporting Michigan's film incentives. Rice, along with a coalition of students from Wayne State University, Michigan State University and the University of Michigan worked together to direct, edit and produce the film Appleville, which premiered March 31.
