Wayne State University in January introduced an online graduate certificate in communication and new media. The course is limited to 20 slots each semester. It has exceeded that limit each time and has a waiting list, according to WSU lecturer Karen McDevitt in the Department of Communication. McDevitt said there's real value in approaching new media instruction in creative ways.
