"Channel 7 and the Scripps Foundation give $10K to WSU journalism dept"
Channel 7 announced a donation of $10,000 to benefit the Wayne State University: Journalism Institute for Media Diversity. The donation on behalf of WXYZ-TV and The Scripps Howard Foundation was presented to Ben Burns, director WSU's journalism program and Alicia Nails, director of the Journalism Institute for Media Diversity. The donation will provide financial support through scholarship dollars and advocate for diversity in the media.
