GUEST OPINION: Armstrong's only motivation is to be allowed to race again
by Berl Falbaum
Berl Falbaum, a veteran journalist and author who teaches news writing and media ethics at Wayne State University, opined about disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong. "If anyone ever needed an example of the height of cynicism and narcissism, they might just consider pointing to Lance Armstrong, the disgraced "champion" cyclist. For more than a decade, Armstrong, with unrestrained defiance, denied ever using any drugs, and he did so repeatedly in any venue available," Falbaum wrote. He added that Armstrong possibly has destroyed the sport of cycling and that it will take years for it to survive this scandal.
