Film by WSU music and communication alum accepted for Cannes Film Festival...

Wayne State alumna of both music and media arts, Erica Watson '11, wrote and directed the 2012 film Embryo which was selected for exhibition in the Short Film Corner at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in the south of France this May. It is not Watson's first invitation to the world's most prestigious film festival. Her 2011 film The Majestic Palm was exhibited at Cannes last year, her 2010 short film Brothers was shown at Cannes in 2011 and one of her earliest works, the 2007 short documentary Slam, was exhibited at Cannes in 2009.
