WSU alum Ashli Bobo '08 drives GM's southeast US communications...

As an Account Supervisor with Weber Shandwick Detroit, Ashli Bobo '08 worked as an embedded agency resource with the General Motors Regional, Grassroots and Diversity Communications team at their Renaissance Center World Headquarters. In this role, she supported GM's U.S. regional offices in identifying local angles to national stories and contributed content to the regional web portals, GM Diversity website and social media properties. In September 2012, after two years of working in the agency's Detroit office, Bobo was tapped to relocate to Atlanta, GA to join the Weber Shandwick office in that city as the lead agency resource for GM's Southeast Region Communications team. Bobo currently holds this position and has expanded responsibility, which includes: establishing and strengthening relationships with journalists, bloggers and influencers in the region, driving media coverage, executing regionalized grassroots and diversity outreach activations, and participating in the GM Diversity Communications Network.
