In an op-ed special, Casandra Ulbrich, director of corporate and foundation relations at Wayne State University, calls for a re-prioritization of how the state spends its limited resources while focusing on a long-term vision of investing in job growth and human capital. "Some say we cannot afford to invest in jobs and education," Ulbrich said. "At this point, we can't afford not to. We know what we have to do, the question is, are we willing to do it?"
