Sarah Walker joined the Wayne State PhD program as a debate coach in the Fall of 2015. She received her BA from Minnesota State University in May of 2011 and her MS in communication studies from South Dakota State University in 2013. Her research interest is in rhetorical criticism, with an emphasis on religion and the LGBTQ community. Sarah presented a paper on the citizenship of queer bodies in politics at the National Communication Association conference in 2013. When not coaching or studying, Sarah is playing video games or exploring Detroit in search of the best pizza in the city.
