Mike Major

Biography

Mike Major is a part-time PhD student in communication. He is director of career services at Saginaw Valley State University and is an officer in the Navy Reserve. At SVSU, Mike has been instrumental in massive growth in the career services office. He was recalled to active duty 2011-12 for a deployment in Afghanistan as a combat advisor with the Afghan National Civil Order Police. Mike’s research interest focuses on career enactments, including self-presentation and reputation management techniques utilized by job seekers during the search process.
