Biography

Farah Harb is a 4th year PhD Candidate and instructor in the Department of Communication at Wayne State University. She is also the Assistant Basic Course Director in the Communication Department. Her research focuses on media effects, specifically the intersectionality between political and health communication. She also utilizes mixed methods for her interest in activism research for ethnic minorities in communication. Farah has earned her Master of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Journalism from Wayne State University. She has received the 2019 Jack Shaheen Mass Communication Scholarship for her research dedication toward combating negative Arab stereotypes. She has also earned the 2019 Clephane Graduate Scholarship from the Communication Department at Wayne State University.
