Charlyce Jackson joined CFPCA within the Department of Communication in December 2014. Charlyce is responsible for all internal first-line departmental HR, Payroll and Personnel Management and serves as the direct liaison between the Dean’s Office and Central HR Region. In addition, Charlyce assists with departmental Fiscal Affairs related to fund balance review, account reconciliation and provides assistance with grant funding for acquired grants and funding acquired by Learning Communities each academic year.
Charlyce also assists with Course Scheduling and coordinates processes regarding Faculty Affairs consisting of faculty renewals, coordinating contracts and payments for visiting Allesee Artists, OISS processes, course buyouts and annual merit reviews. In regards to Student Affairs, Charlyce assists undergraduate students based on need with general account reviews, generates overrides as needed and provides guidance to the departments’ graduate student staff in regards to employee benefits, graduate tuition awards, ASA’s, etc.
Lastly, Charlyce serves as the Department Supervisor and works directly as part of the Administrative Team, alongside the Department Chair. She has an extensive relationship with Wayne State University dating back to 2002, fulfilling roles as a WSU student, WSU graduate, student employee and professional employee. Before joining the Department of Communication, Charlyce worked within various facets of the University including: The Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Business & Auxiliary Operations and the Office of Housing and Residential Life. Charlyce holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A., both from Wayne State University.
