Communication Job Opening for 2016-2017 Academic Year

WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY- One-year Lecturer in Communication, full-time for the 2016-2017 academic year, to serve as the Interim Basic Course Director. Salary competitive and commensurate with experience. This is a one-year appointment with no presumption of renewal.

Minimum qualifications: ABD in Communication or a closely related field with at least three years experience teaching public speaking at the college level. Candidates should demonstrate clear evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level. Preferred qualification: Ph.D. in Communication or closely related field. Candidates must demonstrate strong evidence of effective teaching at the college level and a willingness to mentor undergraduate students from diverse populations.

Duties: teach the basic course and courses in other areas of specialization, as well as supervise GTAs and Part Time Faculty. The position has a 4-3 course teaching load with corresponding service responsibilities.
