Visit the Department
Wayne State University has been closely monitoring the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and is following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Department of State, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). At this time, we have suspended our department visit program until further notice. For the latest updates on campus response please visit https://wayne.edu/coronavirus.
WSU's Department of Communication is pleased to offer tours of its facilities to all prospective undergraduate students interested in one of our degree programs.
During the tour, prospective WSU students will learn about the department's undergraduate programs and visit some of the classrooms, studios and labs where student/faculty collaborations take place. The tour runs for approximately one hour and covers several buildings across campus.
The tour begins in the main office of the Department of Communication. This office is located on the fifth floor of Manoogian Hall, 906 W. Warren, Detroit, MI 48201. The entrance to the office is directly across from the elevators.
The closest parking structure to Manoogian Hall is Structure #2. The entrance to this structure is on the John C. Lodge Service Drive. This service drive is accessed from Warren Avenue and is located one block west of the intersection of Warren Avenue and Anthony Wayne Drive. View additional guest parking locations.
High school students are encouraged to talk with their high school guidance counselor with regard to missing school for this university campus visit.
If you would like to see more of our campus please also RSVP for a university tour. The tours are conducted daily at 10am and 2pm unless there is a special event. Be sure to sign up in advance, as these tours fill quickly.
